I was lucky to find Alice 15years ago. Tired of unprofessional, gossipy salons, I have had no desire to shop elsewhere. Alice provides a calming atmosphere and awesome talent. We have been through long hair, short hair, tinted and streaked hair and grey hair together. This year when I was tired of being white, Alice concocted a new look - a new me. I moved to Windsor 8 years ago and I spent the first 4 years hating my hair! I had been to multiple salons throughout the city and stylists would continually cut too much off or not cut enough hair off. I was becoming very frustrated trying to find a stylist who knew how to cut my very thick hair and who would take the time to listen to me. I finally pulled open the yellow pages and came across Alice`s ad. I booked an appointment for a consultation and hair cut and I have never been to another stylist since!
When I first met Alice she took her time to find out what I wanted in my hair cut, what products I used for styling and tools I used for styling. That first appointment left me in awe. I felt not only great about my hair but she gave me a much needed boost in my self confidence. Alice is a miracle worker with a pair of scissors. Before I met Alice it used to take me about 45-60 minutes to blow dry and style my hair. With Alice`s cutting of my hair and her recommendations to use Rene Furterer shampoo and conditioner I now spend 15-20 min styling my hair. I have also not had to use any other products besides some finishing hair spray.
We continually work together to change my cut and colour when I feel that it is time for a change. She is always honest with me about whether a certain style will work or not with my hair texture. She will then give me suggestions for other types of styles. She has a great eye for colour and the colour she has gives me is always trendy, fun and easily up kept.
I believe that the way to know if you have a great hair cut is that it keeps it shape and definition as it grows out. Alice has certainly done this for me and I am always getting complements from strangers (even when I am in need of a hair cut).
Not only is Alice a great stylist but she is a great hostess. Her shop is always warm and inviting. You can chat with Alice and the other patrons. It is so great to have a coffee, get your hair done and chat with a friend.
Even to this day I can`t believe what a gem I have found in the yellow pages of the phone book. I would never consider seeing another stylist as long as Alice is working in the city or in the Windsor-Essex area.
